A Lifetime Invested in Covington
Fifth-generation Covington resident • Navy Veteran • City Commissioner • Veteran Legislative Leader
About James
I'm a fifth-generation Covington resident, and this city has been home to my family for generations. Growing up here shaped who I am, and I've always believed the best way to give back is through service.
That commitment has taken me from serving our country in the United States Navy & Kentucky National Guard, to advocating for veterans across Kentucky through the VFW, to serving the residents of Covington as your City Commissioner. No matter the role, my focus has remained the same: listen first, work hard, and put people before politics.
Professionally, I work as an Account Manager in the marketing communications industry, where I help clients solve complex challenges, manage projects, and make data-informed decisions. My background in client service and data analytics has taught me to ask questions, study the facts, and be accountable for results. Those are the same principles I bring to City Hall.
I believe good government starts with being present. That's why you'll often find me attending neighborhood meetings, volunteering at community events, visiting local businesses, and talking directly with residents throughout the year. The best decisions are made by listening to the people who live here, not just during election season, but every day.
I'm proud of what we've accomplished together, but there's still more work to do. I remain committed to strengthening public safety, investing in our neighborhoods, supporting local businesses, protecting our parks and green spaces, and making sure every taxpayer dollar is spent wisely. Most importantly, I'll continue to be a leader who is accessible, transparent, and always willing to listen.
